Prince Train Station – It Never Gets Old

The Amtrak Station in Prince, West Virginia is probably one of the most photographed buildings in the state. Well, you can just add us to the long list of fans of this 1946 Streamline Moderne masterpiece! Our historic resource survey team was in the New River Gorge for a project recently and just happened to be in the area when the train was scheduled to arrive, so we got a rare glimpse inside of the station, made some new friends who were waiting to board and saw them off! It was also exciting to see a large group of Boy Scouts get off the train on their way to the Summit Bechtel Reserve – we love that the next generation is experiencing train travel!
